I think it's the symmetry in this piece that I love - from the Sam of Dean's dreams, he wakes to the Sam of his nightmares. One all about the power of love and the other about the love of power. And poor hurt Dean is at the fulcrum.
Ages ago i said you were redefining dark!fic and you said WTF? I think this is what i mean. There are countless stories out there that are dark or about tirturing dean but that don't bring with them the emotional resonance and layers that your writing does.
