You have lots of really interesting theories and I think both the characters and the reality of the 'verse itself allow for many complex meanings for the characters' behaviors, but you may see some of these ideas again, maybe. :D
And, okay, I can see why you think the comfort bit of Walking was the nicest. All I was trying to say is that Sam does have moments of tenderness, even if they are few and far between.
As for this series not showing signs of "Evil warlord falls in love" thing, I guess that's good. Could you tell me what you mean, though? Because I don't actually know if I've read any of those, even though I think I might know what you're talking about. But, yes, the bond between Sam and Dean is one that affects both of them, and deeper than either would like.
