Educational. Yes. You're not the first to say that, but I do hope that readers interested in the world of RL kink will explore non-fic info in addition to works like these. Needle play, especially, was one of the kinks I imagined would be new to most readers, but it is a fascinating experience even more than a painful one, though it sounds really extreme.
I would apologize for giving you too much to read, but I figure you all deserved a good installment after waiting so patiently. I'm glad you enjoyed the ride! :-)
Sam is a commander, yes, and respected at least if not loved by those in his command, yes. Dean is a former hunter, so, no, he's not highly regarded as a person, though some may respect his status as the treasured property of their commander. Rick (the creepy guard) is clearly not all that respectful of Dean's status, so I completely understand your hope that Sam will protect Dean from him at least. The thing about Dean lying, though, is complex, because Sam was deeply hurt (and angered) by the way Dean kept the Big Secret from him and then Dean tries to turn the situation in his favor through manipulation like he did in the "Act" chapter of this story. So, Sam just has a hard time trusting Dean right now, no matter what the situation is.
When you mentioned Dean's talk to the woman and asked if it would come back to haunt him later, what did you mean? How did he miss out?
Anyway, it's always great to see you around these parts and there are always more installments on the way.
