You are very observant! Who knows why Sam doesn't want Dean to know about the outside world, though? Maybe Sam will be upset if he finds out about the Dean-Merta conversation or maybe he won't care. Maybe he'll be just as mad at her for talking as he is at Dean. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. ;-)
