I was a late reader to your 'verse, but once I read all the entries, I eagerly awaited this update, and it was wonderful horrifying! The whole process is so incredibly painful, and I feel so for Dean as he tries to adapt and accommodate to all the changes.
And to lose even his name! That killed me. It seemed like their was no hope for him. I was excited in the end when he got it back, and even as evil as Sam is, I can't help but hold out hope, especially in light of all his dreams. No matter what, nightmares remind me that Sammy is still human (okay, I hope).
Great update, I love how well you show the breaking. I can't imagine Dean succumbing easily, and he certainly is not, he has suffered and endured so much in the hopes that there might still be some Sammy left.
