Wow! Thank you! What heart-warming words you've given me! Dean's breaking is such a difficult process. I just couldn't have him be his swaggering self one day and a groveling slave the next, ya know? Breaking requires lots of pain, so I'm glad that's coming through. And yeah, characters and human nature are definitely part of what I'm picking apart here, trying to gage and challenge in these extreme circumstances, so I'm glad that's working for you as well.
