Summary: On his first half-birthday, Sam Winchester was taken from his human family to be raised by one of the clans of the Grigori. These fallen angels, myth to most, are often called "demons" and many are hunted for their contributions to human bloodshed. Dean Winchester is one such Hunter. When these two connected souls find each other after 22 years apart, sparks will fly, but who will be burned?

Me first!!! I just finished it. The confrontation be between Sam and his father was fantastic - and how he picked it was - great mirror on the canon scene. It amazes me how you used canon plot in this and STILL I was surprised.

And congratulations - its a great acheivement and a wonderful 'verse you've created. There's so many more stories I'd like to read. But before I loose those bunnies on you I'll let you bask in the glory of this!

I enjoyed this.
Good, entertaining read, with a fleshed out AU, and nice parallels with the canon.

Reading the prompt afterwards was hilarious though, because while this was more serious, and less camp than the prompt-novel, I could definately see the plot parallels.
So - is Dean actually of succubus descent? That sounds like an interesting idea to play with. ;)

Just to make sure I've got this straight: Sam is Mary & John's son, by way of John's possession by Azazel, right? And Azazel is the one that killed Mary, then kidnapped Sam to be raised by them, yeah?
If so, why does Sam refer to himself as a bastard? Is it because Azazel is being counted as a third parent? Or did I miss another guy there?

Also, nice twist on the standard cesty guilt trip, Dean's was more the standard - oh god, my brother (but I'll deal with it anyway). Sam's more - oh god, my brother again. And ow. Could be worse things, obviously.

Oh, wow. I read the first chapter last night, and I just had to have more. I thought I could stop after six chapters, but no... I didn't get much work done today. :)

I love this verse and how you've split the brothers up only to reunite them in this fabulous way. And it's great the way it reflects the last three episodes of season one and builds on them, making them completely different.

But I have to say the ending underwhelmed me. I would have wanted to see Dean come through on his threat to avenge Sam's rape, and I would have wanted to see Sam go apeshit on his former tormentors. But I love how you dealt with Azazel. Sam knowing the ritual by heart...

I love how Dean is soft and caring in this fic, but still Dean. So many fics lose track of character when they try to make Dean soft, but this didn't.

Good job. I will be expecting sequels. ;)
