Summary: On his first half-birthday, Sam Winchester was taken from his human family to be raised by one of the clans of the Grigori. These fallen angels, myth to most, are often called "demons" and many are hunted for their contributions to human bloodshed. Dean Winchester is one such Hunter. When these two connected souls find each other after 22 years apart, sparks will fly, but who will be burned?

I'm glad you found the story entertaining!

On canon: It's good to hear that the canon parallels worked for you.

On the prompt: Yeah ... the prompt was ... umm ... very hilarious in its bizarre drama, but I definitely tried to keep this in the spirit of the prompt as much as possible.

On succubi: Well, there are certainly some things I have thought to explore, but we'll see.

On Sam's origin: It's intentionally left ambiguous. I'll leave it at that for now. But I'd actually say that Sam's reference to himself as a "bastard" has less to do with the traditional "born out of wedlock" definition and more to do with being a "mixed-blood" or "half-breed", a person of mixed heritage, neither fully human nor fully Grigori. Too, I get the distinct impression that "bastard" is just a term that's been thrown at him a lot, so I think he's internalized it.

On incest guilt: I'm glad that twist was intriguing to you, because the whole idea of Sam trying to process his relationship with Dean in some twisted comparison with his relationship with Kane was really interesting for me to explore. And will hopefully continue to be as I add more stories to this verse.
